The Leader In Precision Irrigation

In the irrigation business, the Valley Pro brand means leadership. Those who started the Valley brand, essentially started the pivot irrigation business. The first Valley pivot was sold in 1954, and since then, Valley equipment has dominated the industry, and circled the globe. Valley carries behind it the biggest support system in the business. Made in the USA and sold world wide.

Center Drives Engineered for Reliability

Valley Center Drive…engineered for reliable service

The Valley Center Drive is built stronger, lasts longer and uses less energy than other irrigation drive motors. The standard-speed motor has the lowest power requirements in the industry. The high-speed motor has a nine-hour rotation. Valley Center Drives are designed for easy maintenance in the field.

Center Drive Features Center Drive Benefits
Steel gears Provide more strength than powdered metal
Aluminum finned housing Runs 20º F cooler for a longer motor life. No paint to chip, scratch or corrode
Internally vented junction box Prevents moisture and contaminants from corroding the wire connections
Crop guard Protects shaft seals for extended life
Integral pinion gear Eliminates coupler, improves reliability
Helical gears More tooth contact than spur gears, providing more torque capacity and quieter operation
Special motor windings for high-torque applications 40% higher operating torque than the competition
  • Large 1 3/16” motor shaft
  • Pinion gear — integral with motor shaft
  • Extra-large intermediate gear bearings — assure longer life
  • 25º tooth angles — provides 40% greater load capacity and wear resistance than other manufacturers’ 14 1/2º  tooth angles
  • Double output shaft seals
  • Built-in crop guard over U-joint — prevents crop wrapping in or near oil seals
  • Double reduction gearing — requires fewer gears, shafts and bearings for greater reliability and efficiency
  • Stator — can be replaced independent of rotor, and is held in place with corrosion-resistant, stainless steel bolts for easy maintenance
  • Extra — large motor bearing
  • Exclusive coating — applied to internal surfaces to prevent corrosion
  • Watertight seal — between housing components
  • Finned aluminum housing — for cool-running efficiency. Operates at temperatures 20° F (11° C) lower than comparable motors with steel housing, because the Valley aluminum housing and fins dissipate heat more effectively. This doubles insulation life and increases motor life
  • Case-hardened steel helical gears — more teeth meshed at all times for smoother power transmission.
  • Drain plug — easily accessible, extra large
New!  VS-7000 Center Drive

VS-7000 Drive Train is Now Available

The VS-7000 drive train is a lower priced option on the 7000 series pivots. VS stands for Valley Specified performance. The VS-7000 will provide a substantial savings per drive unit. It is important to note that the VS-7000 and Valley drive trains cannot be mixed on a given pivot. The first span selection determines which drive train choice must be used for the entire machine.

The VS-7000 drive train consists of:
• New 34 RPM & 68 RPM center drive assemblies
– .6 HP  or 1.2 HP Baldor motor with a corrosion resistant painted steel housing
– Current Omni helical center drive gearbox
– Same amp draw as current Valley helical center drives
– Same torque rating as current Valley helical center drives
– Assembled and tested at McCook

• New wheel gearboxes
– Front and rear individual input worms (not dual input)
– Mounting is the same as Valley gearboxes
– Ductile worm and cast iron bull gear for longer life
– Made in China by Omni to Valley specifications

VS-7000 Warranty
• Six (6) years or 6000 hours, whichever comes first
– Parts, labor and travel same as Valley gearbox

Valley Controls

Control and monitor your irrigation 24/7 with advanced technology

Control Panel Choices

Compare Valley Control Panels

As a grower, you know getting water to your crops when and where it’s needed is key for increased yields. In the past, this meant looking forward to additional costs and worries during peak irrigation times – early morning pivot checks, increased fuel costs from those additional trips to the field, even adding additional labor during the summer months. Some days, it seemed like your irrigation equipment had all the control. It was just a part of the business – until now.

Valley Controls are designed to help you regain control by virtually eliminating unnecessary visits to the field.

Program – With a variety of easy-to-use program options that fit the size and condition of your operation and the pace of your life, you’ll be able to conserve energy and time while greatly improving your yield potential. Use GPS Ready control panels for precise positioning or add GPS Guidance to a Valley Corner or Linear to eliminate buried wire.

Monitor – Monitor all of your equipment with easy-to-use tools that provide an at-a-glance view of your irrigation set-up to ensure more efficient, less stressful irrigation. Complete safety checks and monitor field position.

Control – Our communications options bring advanced technology and give you “control-on-the-go” 24/7 SmartPhone or the Web. Start and stop your irrigation equipment, change direction and application depth, plus much more.

Relax – From monitoring your equipment and accessing alarm indicators to programming your irrigation machines, these options deliver peace of mind that comes from knowing you’re operating at maximum efficiency, saving resources and reducing downtime.

Best in the Business

Valley Gearboxes…built to last

The Valley Gearbox is designed and built to work under today’s most demanding growing conditions. There’s a stronger, heavier bull gear…pre-loaded worm gear…and new shaft seals that keep oil in and problems out. A heavy-duty bronze bull gear is an available option for severe applications. Exclusive Valley Gearbox input and output seals help ensure long life for gearbox components. A Valley exclusive, these seals are standard on all new Valley equipment, or retrofit any existing Valley Gearbox.

Largest capacity rubber diaphragm — expands with heat and pressure to minimize water condensation.
Input and output bearings — American made and case hardened to provide the highest quality and load rating available in the industry to insure long trouble-free life.
Worm gear — high strength ductile iron provides significantly longer wear life then steel when combined with a cast iron bull gear.
Tooth design — industry exclusive 250 tooth angle provides 40% longer life and better reliability in tough conditions compared to normal 14 1/20 tooth designs.
Largest bull gear neck and keyway — for strength in critical load-bearing area.
Expansion chamber — cap made of noncorrosive cast aluminum; rubber diaphragm allows oil to expand and contract during operation. Vented cap prevents pressure buildup,
Threaded endcap — allows accurate bearing preload, to increase bearing life. Prevents seal from leaking.
Bull gear — high strength cast iron provides the highest load capacity in the industry and longest life. Optional bronze gear is available for extreme conditions.
Multi-viscosity gearbox oil — exceeds 85w140 GL5 oil for long gear wear under extreme load conditions.
Heaviest gearbox housing — more material in high stress areas. Designed to distribute loads more evenly.
Longest output shaft (steel) — exclusive to Valley gearboxes. Provides extra clearance between the gearbox and wheel flange, reducing mud buildup, resulting in reduced seal damage and extended gearbox life. Special offset rims position the tire back close to the gearbox to minimize bearing loads… another Valley exclusive.

All these factors add up to one thing — the best quality gearbox in the industry, giving you long, trouble-free economical equipment life.
